David Olheiser named President of Minneapolis GEAPS

David Olheiser, Senior Associate was recently promoted to the office of President for the Minneapolis Chapter of GEAPS (The Grain Elevator and Processing Society). This is a local and a national organization. GEAPS aims to meet the needs of grain-industry professionals, and to help them successfully perform their jobs.

VAA Welcomes Two New Employees

Eric Dregney

Eric Dregney is a graduate of Chippewa Valley Technical College. He recently moved to the Twin Cities area from Eleva, Wisconsin and is located in our Plymouth, MN office. Eric is currently working with our buildings sector team.

Jeffrey Kramer

Jeffrey Kramer is a recent graduate of Hutchinson (Kansas) Community College as an entry level cadd technician. Jeffrey is working in our Hutchinson office providing drafting/project assistance.

Sydney Hall Receives Two Awards

The Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal conducted the Best in Real Estate Awards on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. The Sydney Hall and Dinky Dome project, in Dinkytown adjacent to the University of Minnesota campus, received two awards. One award for the Multifamily Development and Redevelopment - Market Rate category and the other award for this year's Best Overall project.

VAA, LLC (Van Sickle, Allen) completed the Structural Engineering for this project. ESG Architects, Inc. performed the design architecture. Click on the title to read more in the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal, April 16, 2010.

VAA Welcomes Four New Employees

The Civil Engineering Team at VAA welcomes two new employees. Landon Pohl, E.I.T, will be working on all aspects of civil work for clients in the Agri-business, Industrial and Buildings sectors. Landon joins us from Bonestroo. Alexander Rakos, Technician, recently graduated from St. Cloud Technical College.

The Ag/Industrial group also welcomes two new employees. Brian Utoft, Designer, brings strong experience with Agri-business & Industrial projects. Brian comes to VAA from Air-Cure. Trevor Otto, Technician, is a recent graduate from NTI.
