Efficiency is key! You want to move each truck through the sample, weight, dump, weight process as efficiently as possible and increase efficiency in your operations. Our goal is to create a quality design that is operationally and functionally efficient, maintenance friendly, and works well not only today but 15 years from now.
Harvest is the priority. Harvest drives the design and construction schedule of these projects – experience and efficiency is a must to successfully to meet the timeline. VAA has the experience needed to deliver your successful project on time.
We will listen to you, learn your priorities, identify and provide alternatives, and ask proactive questions regarding the site and operations. The VAA team brings creative, flexible planning skills to accommodate future needs as well as those of the present project.
Our proactive planning considers ease of maintenance via building placement, efficiency of operation via road layout, and placement of probes and scales to best support the process. Our civil team understands truck movements and knows the requirements of products for rail, shuttle trains or singles. We are knowledgeable about the drainage requirements of flat sites and the means of effectively transporting water over ground storm water conveyance versus underground.
The VAA civil team proactively coordinates communication with the city, county, watershed agencies and other government agencies. We research and communicate to clients SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) requirements to develop a thorough plan for construction. This process begins the moment we get a call. Utilizing aerial photos and quadrangle maps we are able to begin laying a site out, even before a survey is done. Our team works to coordinate soil borings and the survey and to prepare preliminary exhibits. For projects involving rail, we begin our planning and design early in the project as rail often drives location as well as elevation of a facility.
Our team delivers your project – in time for harvest!
